Presidential Message

Dear WMA Family Members,

My sincere thanks to each and every one of you for giving me the opportunity to serve our community as the President of WMA .Welcome and thank you for visiting the website of Westchester Malayalee Association . Here, you have an opportunity to learn about associations History, and kerala culture as well as our leaders from malayalee community and WMA programs. I hope that this web site will keep us better connected as a community; the events calendar will keep you informed about upcoming WMA events. Also I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us in all the events organized by our Association. WMA is the largest and oldest of association serving the Malayalee community in New York and one of the top Malayalee Association in North America. We are one of the very successful group of immigrants in terms of accomplishments in business, professional services and in education. Our members come from different walks of life with diverse customs and cultures but one thing we have in common is the spirit of friendship as a Malayalee.

We have made great impact in the community for the last 43 years, thanks to dedicated volunteer leaders who served on the Board of Directors, Trustee Board, and various committees. Today WMA is more responsive to its members, more relevant to society, more respected as a pioneer association in USA. I can say with great pride and satisfaction that our accomplishments will certainly have long lasting impact in Indo American malayalee Community.

My goals as president are modest. My job is to engage our existing members, providing them with quality programs, volunteer opportunities. The board of directors will be working hard to meet this goal. We are working to bringing more members into WMA, I ask that the all Malayalees to step up and help meet these goals. If you are not already a member, I encourage you to become a member and join the community. Your thoughts and comments are very important to us and will help the organization serve the community better.
