We have great pleasure in welcoming you to the Westchester Malayalee Association (WMA). WMA is dedicated to provide a forum for malayalees to come together and celebrate the culture and heritage of Kerala in Westchester and neighboring cities. Every year, WMA conducts numerous cultural programs and events for our community. We intend to preserve the Malayalee culture and traditions through celebrations and events. These events provide opportunities for artist to perform and entertain friends and families.

Vision
The vision of WMA is to preserve, promote and perpetuate the rich values and traditions of Kerala while providing a healthy physical, social, spiritual and economic environment for the Westchester Malayalees.WMA would like to immerse every Malayalee in a celebration of our culture and heritage.Westchester Malayalee Association (WMA) will work hard to develop and maintain a forum for malayalees to come together to celebrate, preserve and promote the rich traditions and cultural values of Kerala among malayalee friends, families and their younger generations in and around New York. To aggressively promote and uphold the culture, heritage and values of Malayalees in and around the Detroit area To plan and organize cultural events aimed at improving the social, educational and other humanitarian services of the Malayalee community To foster and enhance the Malayalee community’s longstanding love affair with the Malayalam language To plan and host periodic meetings that allow the members to network, learn and share their personal experiences To increase cross cultural understanding and promote cultural diversity and co-operation To co-operate with similar organizations in their quest for maintaining the heritage of Kerala

Activities
IMA is a rapidly growing organization with many dedicated members and year round programs including various cultural events. IMA has initiated several captivating events throughout the year for Malayalees in and around Indianapolis. We always promote and entertain our children and youth to grow up culturally and traditionally educated.
WMA Talent Show
WMA conducts a talent show every year to provide opportunity to share and appreciate the talents of all young and old malayalee artists in Indiana. This has been received with great enthusiasm among malayalees and other communities. The talent show also demonstrates our rich cultural traditions and values to other communities in and around New York.
WMA Onam
Malayalees can not forget the memories of Onam the festival of Kerala. Our Onam celebrations bring Malayalees together from various parts of the country to Indianapolis. King Maveli will never forget to visit WMA and their members yearly. We celebrate our festival traditionally with style and fashion. Pookkalam, Thiruvathira, Vallamkali, Chendamelam are few of the cultural events that take place during the Onam celebration. Onam Sadhya, traditionally dressed and much more! Come and join our fun filled day of events for this year Onam!
WMA New Year/ Christmas
The New year/Christmas celebrations attract malayalee families and friends to reflect on life in Indiana. There is general body meeting on the same day of the event. Several family and group activities will be conducted during the event.
